To gain self-confidence and have better health may be at the very top of your resolution list this 2017. If it is, you’ve come to the right place. Having self-confidence and better health will require you to pick up a couple new habits, but I promise, you’ll be feeling the results in almost no time!

  1. Exercise

……………………………………………………………………………………

Going to a gym is definitely a snooze for some, but going to the gym need not be the only form of exercise you take part in. All you must do is get up and get moving! Going for early morning walks, taking the stairs, sitting less—it’s all part of getting you moving and walking about! Fresh air helps improve your mood and just moving about outdoors gets you more of a hormone called serotonin, which is known as a confidence hormone. It boosts your esteem and gives you a sense of accomplishment!

Of course, exercise like hitting the gym can do even greater wonders as it allows your brain to release dopamine, and even counters many negative mental states. Exercise also keeps your body healthy and gets you looking fit for the beach! Of course, if going to a gym is too much of a hassle, all you have to do is google home gym equipment ideas and start working out in your own home.

  1. Eat healthier

Suppressing the large urges to stuff your face with pizza is probably a good idea. Junk food has been shown to negatively affect your mood and mental well-being, whilst fruits and veggies do the exact opposite! By curbing these cravings and choosing healthier foods, you are also choosing a healthier you and giving your body the best nutrients it should receive.

Eating healthier is also 90% of what makes a person healthy, whilst the other 10 is exercise. So do not skip out on this!

  1. Sleep more

Science has proven that more quality sleep hours reduce the chances of you developing psychiatric problems. Health doesn’t always just include physical aspects; your mental health is just as important and sleep plays a big part of that. Physically, sleep also helps repair your body and it helps you recover from the workouts that you do. Without it, sleep deprivation can negatively affect your body and skin.

So, if you don’t want to wake up cranky and feeling awful, go ahead and go catch more snoozes!

  1. Chase your dreams

Do the things that you like. You may not get your dream job but keep playing the piano that you love! It helps you boost confidence, in doing the things that you like, and especially the thing that you are good at. It can improve your energy greatly and make you a happier person overall.  This is perhaps, one of the best things you can do for yourself!

  1. Schedule out your time well

Just by planning your day in advance alleviates the unnecessary stress you put on yourself. It also gives you a goal to accomplish. It can drive you forward and push you to be a better you. Feeling accomplished and stress-free is something that many would kill for, but many don’t realize that all it takes is to make a habit of planning out your day!

  1. Socialize

Going out to meet your friends, heading to a new club event? That’s excellent! Having conversations and being around people can reduce anxiety and depression in people. Humans are social creatures after all and being in the presence of others can really help turn your mood around, especially in good company! Staying at home alone can make you feel more lonely and isolated, which is not something we want for a healthy mind, so do go out and say hello to the grocery store cashiers and catch up with some old friends! We all need some interaction every day that can boost our esteems and confidence.

  1. Journal down the good things

By keeping a track record of all the things that has made you happy can help improve your mood and confidence greatly! It celebrates your successes and lets you think about all the achievements you’ve accomplished before. It also forces you to be in a positive mind state as you write these down, which is always good for you to have a healthier mind and healthier outlook on life!

So….

With all this said and done, by taking some of these tips and forming them into habits, you may find yourself feeling better than before! Not only because you’ve now got a great body, but also a great healthy mind with a good outlook on life, and definitely, a shining confidence that can take you to even greater places in life.
